On October 16, World Food Day 2025 was celebrated in Catalonia, recognized as the World Gastronomy Region. The event highlighted traditional Catalan cuisine and the importance of healthy, sustainable food.

Great success in participation and evaluation for the Japanese gastronomy days organized by SERHS Food and CLECE at ICS hospitals (Bellvitge, Viladecans, Joan XXIII, and Verge Cinta). A themed menu prepared by chef Jordi Homs was served, significantly exceeding the usual number of menus.

Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge

The UTE (Temporary Union of Companies) formed by Serhs Food and Clece has been awarded the contract to manage food services in five centers of the Catalan Institute of Health (ICS), including Bellvitge and Joan XXIII hospitals. The four-year contract, valued at over 63 million euros, incorporates improvements in sustainability, digitalization, and innovation. With this award, Serhs Food strengthens its leadership in hospital collective catering in Catalonia.

The CAR of Mataró has achieved a milestone in waste management with over 90% of properly sorted waste. Serhs Food receives recognition for this sustainable progress.

This April, municipal technicians and schools from Sabadell visited SERHS Food’s High-Performance Kitchen. The visit strengthened collaboration in school catering, showcasing our approach to healthy, tailored, and sustainable meals in education settings.

At Serhs Food, we organize Gastronomic Days in healthcare centers to energize spaces, promote culture, and deliver unique experiences.

SERHS Food has achieved a significant increase in the prescription of modified texture diets for oropharyngeal dysphagia patients at Mataró Hospital. This project, led by Dr. Pere Clavé, has improved nutritional quality and food safety, establishing a model that is also expanding to other sociosanitary centers and special education schools.

This March, SERHS Food received a visit from the Consell Comarcal del Bages to present its sustainable school nutrition model. The company focuses on organic, local products and quality service to ensure healthy nutrition in schools across the region.
