Since the beginning of SERHS Food‘s activity, the human aspect has been one of the fundamental pillars of its performance, as well as the awareness of the individuals who are part of the work teams, their environment, and commitment. In order to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in all companies within the division, following different regulatory criteria, a collaboration agreement has been signed with IMANcorp FOUNDATION, a non-profit entity registered in the Foundation Registry of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
The purpose of this collaboration agreement is to establish the framework for coordinated action between the parties in different lines of action:
- Legal consulting and support, if necessary, in the processing of alternative measures under the General Disability Law.
- A disability awareness and visibility campaign.
- Promoting diversity programs with an impact on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
IMANcorp FOUNDATION is a non-profit private entity that started its activity in 2016 with the aim of contributing to the development of society in a more technological, digital, and inclusive environment. To achieve this goal, it promotes innovation by supporting entrepreneurs, encourages a culture of education and work, and advocates for inclusive talent through disability awareness programs for companies.
Regarding the disability awareness component, it includes activities and programs designed to educate and raise awareness about issues related to people with disabilities. This may involve workshops, talks, awareness campaigns, and other initiatives aimed at promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities in work and social life. Through these actions, the goal is to eliminate barriers and prejudices, foster equal opportunities, and create a more welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of their abilities.
SERHS Food has a long history of over 40 years working in the field of collective catering with a team of 2,000 professionals. It stands out as the first company in the sector to obtain certification in the FSSC 22000 v5 standard for food safety in the high-performance kitchen (CAR) in Mataró. Additionally, it holds ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality and ISO 22.000:2018 certification for food safety. The company is also a reference in terms of sustainability, not only in relation to environmental impact but also with a focus on social impact, placing people and the environment at the center. This represents a greater alignment with the sustainable development goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations and applied in SERHS Food’s policy.
This strategic agreement will allow the consolidation of the position and, at the same time, a determined advancement in the field of equal opportunities for all individuals who are part of the organization, understanding diversity as a differential value for current and future inclusions.
