With the aim of breaking the daily routine<\/strong> and adding a touch of cultural diversity<\/strong> to our healthcare centers, at Serhs Food<\/strong> we continue to organize a series of Gastronomic Days<\/strong> every year. These events, planned throughout the year, are designed to celebrate special dates<\/strong>, promote culture<\/strong>, and enhance the experience of healthcare staff and visitors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This year, we have already successfully held Hawaiian, French, Galician, and Japanese days<\/strong> in several centers such as Hospital de Matar\u00f3<\/strong>, Hospital Arnau de Vilanova<\/strong>, and the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO)<\/strong>. The events are organized by the cafeterias\u2019 teams in the healthcare centers<\/strong>, with the active collaboration of chefs and dietitians<\/strong>, who select the most iconic dishes from each region or country. In addition to the culinary offering, cafeterias are decorated according to the chosen theme<\/strong>, with representative elements that help create an unbeatable atmosphere<\/strong> for attendees.<\/p>\n

A recent example was the Japanese day held at ICO on April 3rd<\/strong>, where attendees could enjoy typical dishes such as ramen, gyozas, yakitori<\/strong>, and the traditional mochis<\/strong>, along with the famous Japanese cheesecake<\/strong>. The kitchen team and cafeteria staff dressed in kimonos<\/strong> and decorated the space with lanterns, flowers, and traditional \u201cnoren\u201d curtains<\/strong>, among other elements of Japanese culture, offering an immersive experience that captivated everyone<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On the same day, in Lleida<\/strong>, we held the Galician day<\/strong>, another celebration that stood out thanks to its traditional dishes<\/strong>, such as meat empanada, octopus salad, pork fillet with chestnut sauce, and cod with garlic<\/strong>, among others. Staff wore pilgrim hats<\/strong>, and the cafeteria was decorated to recreate the atmosphere of the “Camino de Santiago”<\/strong>, with the idea of a journey through villages and nature<\/strong>, offering attendees a memorable culinary and cultural experience<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

These events, along with previous ones such as the French and Hawaiian days<\/strong>, have been very well received by attendees<\/strong>, who appreciate this initiative that breaks the usual monotony<\/strong> of the hospital setting. These kinds of events not only enhance the experience of healthcare staff<\/strong> and brighten the visits of patients’ loved ones<\/strong>, but also improve the perception of food services<\/strong> in these special settings and allow the discovery of traditional dishes from other places<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For us at Serhs Food<\/strong>, it is an honor<\/strong> to contribute to this cause and continue to offer these gastronomic experiences<\/strong>, which help transform the hospital environment into a warmer and more diverse place<\/strong>. We will continue working to organize new events<\/strong> that further enrich the experience of all attendees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
